IPL 2022 Auction Date and Time, Retained & Released Players List – As the craze of IPL is increasing, the association has decided to add up more two new feathers on their wings. Here we mean by the introduction of the two new teams that are getting added up in the IPL 2022. The new teams are Ahmedabad and Lucknow and this will mean that more matches will be also introduced in addition to the existing matches. The matches will be calculated and scheduled in such a way that all the teams get a chance to play against each other in a format double round-robin for the leagues.
IPL 2022 Auction
While several speculations are being made about the players getting bought by different teams in the auction, the actual details will come out in the upcoming IPL 2022 Auction as the teams have now released the list of their retained players as well as released players on November 30. It has been estimated that the live auction might take place on Star Sports in the first week of January 2022. But the actual date and time will be notified soon by the authorities.
IPL 2022 Mega Auction Date and Time
As two new teams are getting introduced, IPL is all set to have a mega auction to set up 10 teams with two fresh teams to highlight this season.
IPL management already offered a deadline of 30th November 2021 to all the teams to reveal their team of retained and released players. On the other hand, the two new teams Ahmedabad and Lucknow will now join the IPL 2022 by purchasing their team players in the next auction day.
As per the speculations, the auctions should start by the first week of January 2022 after which all the 10 teams have to declare their final list of players who are all set to play the matches in IPL 2022.

IPL 2022 Teams Purse Value and Deductions
All the teams have been offered a purse of Rs. 90 crores from which deductions will be made depending upon the retention and purchasing of the players that they will be doing. Teams that will be retaining four players, an amount of Rs. 42 crores will be deducted from the purse of the team. After the retention, the team have to mention the value of the retained players in this format:
